Are you looking for a summer job on weekends?  Do you want to help Lake Iroquois keep invasive plants and animals out of the lake?  Do you have an interest or education in environmental or aquatic science?  Do you have good people skills?  If so, you could be a candidate for a “greeter” position at the boat launch area for Lake Iroquois, Williston, for the summer of 2020. Lake Iroquois Greeters provide educational information and inspections for thousands of boaters each year. In addition, Greeters will perform, as needed, boat washing with a high pressure/hot water washer to remove any invasive species from all types of boats.

Greeters are trained on both boat inspections and boat washing by people from the VT Department of Environmental Conservation.  Training will be in May at Lake Iroquois. The greeter program starts on Friday, May 29, and ends on Labor Day. Greeters work weekends (Friday through Sunday) and Holidays at $15 per hour.

Anyone wishing to apply for a Greeter position must submit a cover letter and resume by April 30, 2020 to Lake Iroquois Association, PO Box 569, Hinesburg, VT 05461 or email to lakeiroquoisassociation@ gmail.com. Interviews will happen in early May, followed by training in mid-late May.
